Air Charter Service promotes Simo Nkosi to head Private Jets division in Africa

Air Charter Service has promoted Simo Nkosi to lead its Private Jets division in Africa, a newly formed role overseeing the growth of the company's private jet business across the continent.

Nkosi joined ACS's Johannesburg office nearly 10 years ago. Lyndee du Toit, CEO of ACS Africa, said Nkosi is well-respected for his knowledge of the region and that his experience benefits newer charter consultants as the Africa private jets team continues to expand. Du Toit said that in the new role, Nkosi will implement a strategy to grow the team further and cement the company's position as, in her words, "the number one private jet specialist on the continent."

Nkosi said the division grew its revenue by more than 50% last year and that 2026 has started strongly. "I am looking forward to taking us to the next level," he said.

Creating a dedicated Private Jets leadership role for a single continent is a structural signal: a broker is choosing to manage that segment with its own strategy and headcount rather than folding it into broader regional charter operations.

In the charter brokerage segment, growth of this kind typically comes from expanding the consultant team and deepening operator relationships across a region, since brokers do not own aircraft and compete instead on market knowledge and client coverage. A newly appointed regional head with a mandate to grow the team suggests ACS expects continued demand growth in Africa's private jet market beyond the more than 50% revenue increase already reported.

Whether that translates into a materially larger consultant base or new office presence in Africa will depend on how quickly Nkosi's stated strategy is rolled out, a detail not yet disclosed by the company.
