Green Flyway and MD Aircraft GmbH, a German aerospace company, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding establishing a framework for cooperation to accelerate the development, testing, and implementation of electric aviation technologies and supporting infrastructure within the Green Flyway initiative in Northern Europe. The agreement aims to strengthen sustainable regional air mobility in Mid-Scandinavia and support the transition to zero-emission aviation, addressing a growing need for resilient, low-emission transport across dispersed communities.
Under the MoU, the two organisations will collaborate on testbed activities, market development, ecosystem building, and engagement with regional stakeholders including private sector partners, public authorities, and academic institutions. The Green Flyway initiative seeks to establish a leading Nordic testbed for electric aviation technologies, bringing together industry, public authorities, and research institutions to support innovation and real-world deployment. The partnership combines Green Flyway's regional testbed capabilities with MD Aircraft's aircraft development expertise, aiming to accelerate practical electric aviation solutions across Mid-Scandinavia and beyond.
