Milwaukee Bucks Sign First-Ever Private Aviation Sponsorship With Jet OUT Aviation
Why It MattersSports sponsorships increasingly serve private aviation operators as brand-building tools timed to coincide with fleet expansion, tying local identity to growth ambitions beyond charter volume alone.
What happened
The Milwaukee Bucks have signed a sponsorship agreement with Jet OUT, a private aviation company headquartered at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport, marking the NBA franchise's first-ever partnership with a private jet operator. Jet OUT holds FAA ICAO designator CRE and operates under the air traffic control call sign Cream City, a reference to Milwaukee embedded in the company's identity since its founding. Company president Matt Wild said, "Milwaukee has been part of Jet OUT's identity from the beginning, and it's heard wherever we fly."

Under the agreement, Jet OUT becomes the Bucks' official private aviation partner. Partnership terms include Jet OUT sponsoring a hole at the Milwaukee Bucks Foundation's annual golf outing and hosting a fall 2026 private event at the company's Waukesha, Wisconsin hangar, where premium Bucks members will view a Cessna Citation CJ4 Gen2 aircraft. The announcement does not specify arrangements for the team's roster travel.
The deal coincides with a fleet expansion: Jet OUT has launched a plan to scale its aircraft count from eight to 17 Cessna Citation CJ4 Gen2 light jets by the end of 2026. The company's jets run on Textron's Aircraft Recording System, which logs more than 12,000 flight parameters at 80 samples per second and transmits data to maintenance crews every 30 minutes. In Waukesha, Jet OUT has a planned 22,000-square-foot terminal and hangar facility designed to include private meeting rooms, a lounge, a bar, and a game room, the venue set to host Bucks members in fall 2026. The company also operates regional bases serving South Florida, the Southwest, and Texas, using a local-national co-ownership model.
Jet OUT was founded in 2018 when CEO Joe Crivello spun off the corporate flight department of Milwaukee-based commercial real estate firm Phoenix Investors and merged it with an acquired FAA Part 135 air carrier. Crivello had originally built that internal flight department in 2014 to transport executives between regional property acquisitions. A related entity, Jet IN, opened as a fixed-base operator at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport in April 2023 before being sold to Jet Aviation in September 2024, allowing Jet OUT to focus on its co-ownership and charter operations.
Industry impact & what to watch
Team sponsorships give private aviation operators a way to reach a wealthy, local fan base without relying solely on referral networks or aircraft brokers, and Jet OUT's arrangement follows a template other operators have used to attach their brand to a recognizable local institution. The structure here is telling: the sponsorship centers on golf outing visibility and a hangar showcase for premium members, not on flying the team itself, which suggests the value sought is brand association rather than a charter contract with the Bucks organization.
The co-ownership charter segment depends on operators building both fleet capacity and local credibility at the same time, since aircraft owners buying into a shared jet want confidence the operator will still be flying and growing when their commitment matures. Jet OUT's move to more than double its Cessna Citation CJ4 Gen2 fleet from eight to 17 aircraft by the end of 2026, alongside a 22,000-square-foot Waukesha facility, signals it is scaling capacity in parallel with the sponsorship rather than treating the deal as a standalone marketing purchase.
What remains to be seen is whether the Waukesha facility and fleet expansion land on the timelines described, and whether the Bucks partnership extends into any team travel arrangement beyond the fall 2026 member event and golf outing sponsorship already announced.
