Embraer Phenom 300EV Strengthens Light-Jet Market Lead With Advanced Avionics and Extended Range

Embraer's Phenom 300EV, the latest evolution of the Phenom 300 light-jet family, is consolidating the type's position in business aviation through upgraded engines, advanced avionics and wide regulatory approvals. The Phenom 300 series has been the world's best-selling light jet for more than a decade and has led twin-engine business jet deliveries in recent years, according to Embraer, with flight-tracking data showing close to 800 aircraft in operation globally and tens of thousands of sectors recorded in a single month, while U.S. operations alone accounted for hundreds of thousands of flights over recent 12-month periods.
The Phenom 300EV is powered by upgraded Pratt & Whitney Canada PW535E1 turbofans delivering greater thrust than the earlier PW535E installation, achieving cruise speeds around Mach 0.80 and a range exceeding 2,000 nautical miles with typical passenger loads. Fuel burn is estimated at approximately 170 gallons per hour, supporting cruise speeds in excess of 460 knots. The flight deck features the Prodigy Touch system based on Garmin's G3000 avionics suite, with three large-format displays, touchscreen controllers, synthetic vision, graphical flight planning and integrated performance calculations suited to single-pilot operations, alongside Embraer's Runway Overrun Awareness and Alerting System and an autothrottle capability.
The cabin is designed for both executive shuttle and private configurations, with soundproofing and a cabin altitude described in technical literature as among the lowest in the light-jet segment near typical cruise levels of 45,000 feet. The Phenom 300 family holds type certification from authorities in the United States, Europe and dozens of other countries, with Embraer reporting more than 1,500 executive jets of all types in service globally and several hundred Phenom 300 series units distributed across roughly 40 countries. The aircraft is compatible with sustainable aviation fuel blends as part of Embraer's environmental programs, and industry forecasts project continued growth in the global business jet market through the early 2030s, with light and midsize jets expected to capture a significant share of new deliveries.
