SkyMatch Group Extends Helicopter Concierge Strategy to Include eVTOL Air Taxis

SkyMatch Group, a global private helicopter concierge, announced on August 17, 2026, in London that it has begun developing the next phase of its international aviation strategy to prepare for the commercial introduction of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The initiative involves evaluating potential eVTOL markets and routes, monitoring certification and commercial-launch developments, identifying relevant operators and vertiport infrastructure, and preparing the SkyMatch Group network for future passenger requirements.
SkyMatch Group currently provides a single point of access for private helicopter charter across international destinations, and intends to extend that concierge model to encompass certified eVTOL air taxis and advanced air mobility services once commercial operations become available, rather than replacing helicopters with electric aircraft. The company said helicopters will remain central to longer-range missions, remote destinations, yacht transfers, executive travel and airport connections, while electric air taxis are viewed as a complement for shorter urban and regional journeys, including airport-to-city transportation, where suitable vertiport infrastructure exists.
SkyMatch Group noted that it is not currently offering uncertified eVTOL flights, and that any future eVTOL service will depend on aircraft certification, licensed operator approvals, local aviation regulations, infrastructure and commercial availability in each market. The company's stated target users include luxury hotels, concierge firms, yacht managers, travel advisors, destination management companies, and corporate travel departments arranging transportation for executives and management teams.
