Jettly CEO Justin Crabbe Details Marketplace Approach to Simplifying Private Jet Charter Booking

Justin Crabbe, a commercial pilot and the Founder and CEO of Jettly and BlackJet, described how Jettly aims to simplify private jet booking in an interview with ValiantCEO Magazine. Crabbe said he has more than a decade of experience in aviation technology and has launched more than 50 e-commerce stores, software-as-a-service products and mobile app platforms.
Jettly was launched in 2016 as a searchable, transparent marketplace for private aviation, as an alternative to manual brokerage, limited pricing visibility and a high-friction booking process. Crabbe said the platform aims to work like Expedia for private aircraft, with desktop and mobile platforms that let travelers search for charter flights using detailed filters in minutes. Crabbe said it gives travelers access to more than 23,000 aircraft from vetted operators across 190 countries. Customers can search for flights, request quotes, negotiate prices and discuss schedules and other travel requirements in one place, and Crabbe also cited Smart Match™, an AI workflow that generates a shortlist of suitable, priced options in less than 24 hours.
Crabbe said safety, operator vetting and regulatory compliance are non-negotiable and are not removed in the pursuit of simplicity; instead, Jettly simplifies how they are presented to customers. He said human advisors and technology should work together, particularly for complicated, high-stakes trips. He added that some operators and customers initially resisted the new approach, and that attitudes shifted once operators received more qualified demand and customers saw time savings.
