ABS Jets Becomes Authorised Starlink Dealer, Completes First Installation on Embraer Legacy 650
Why It MattersAuthorised dealer status gives European MRO and service providers a direct route to fit low-orbit satellite connectivity across mid-size and large-cabin jets, widening onboard internet options beyond traditional satellite systems.
ABS Jets, a Prague-based business aviation service provider, has become a Starlink Authorized Dealer and has completed its first Starlink installation, on an Embraer Legacy 650. ABS Jets CTO Vladimir Sip said the status marks another important step in developing the company's aircraft technical support and upgrade services, and that the technology changes how clients can use the internet on board, whether for video conferencing, streaming or data-intensive applications.

Starlink operates on a constellation of low earth orbit satellites. ABS Jets said this means data travels a shorter distance than with traditional satellite systems, giving lower latency and a more stable connection, and that download speeds with the Starlink Aviation Performance kit can reach up to 1 Gbps per terminal.
ABS Jets said operator demand is already strong and that it is preparing two further installations. It plans to offer the system on the Legacy 600/650, Phenom 300, Gulfstream G550 and G650, Cessna Citation 560XLS+ and Falcon 7X/8X. As an authorised dealer and installation partner, ABS Jets will provide technical consultation, installation, and subsequent technical assistance and maintenance.
