Voluxis, a UK-headquartered charter operator and aircraft management company, has been granted an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) by the Civil Aviation Directorate within Transport Malta (TMCAD). It is the company's third AOC and its first under EASA, joining the existing UK and San Marino certificates. Clients can now choose between UK, San Marino and Malta (9H) registration for their aircraft, with each AOC carrying a slightly different list of benefits. The first aircraft to be operated on the Maltese AOC will be a Global 7500.

Voluxis CEO Warren Gravell said the Malta AOC allows free movement around Europe and gives owners and charterers free movement across the EU, which the UK and San Marino AOCs do not. He described it as suited to owners who fly mainly in Europe. Charles Pace, director general for civil aviation at Transport Malta, congratulated Voluxis Malta on the achievement.

Voluxis has held its UK AOC since 1974, when the company was incorporated as Berrard, and adopted the Voluxis name in April 2018. The San Marino AOC followed in December 2022, with the first aircraft, an ultra-long-range jet, based at Al Maktoum International, Dubai. The company operates a fleet of Bombardier, Embraer, Gulfstream and Hawker aircraft for private charter, and also offers aircraft management and aircraft sales and marketing services, with two offices at London airports and bases in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Voluxis is part of the Mountfitchet Group, which also owns Air Charter Service and The Travel Division. The group generated gross revenues exceeding $1.3bn in its last reported financial year, arranging just under 40,000 flights.
