The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump has briefed Gulf allies to prepare for a short, intense round of strikes on Iran as soon as November 4, the day after the U.S. midterm elections, MS NOW said on Friday. A Gulf official told MS NOW that some countries, seeking de-escalation, may resist Washington launching attacks from their air bases.

Separately, Al-Araby Al-Jadeed said on Saturday that a U.S. delegation will hold direct talks with Iran in Doha.
