AvAir and XAero Sign Long-Term Aircraft Asset Management Agreement Starting With Three US Teardowns
Why It MattersSpecialist asset managers are increasingly pooling teardown and parts-remarketing capacity to feed more used serviceable material to operators, which is a supply-side shift in the aftermarket for ageing narrowbody fleets.
AvAir and XAero have announced a long-term aircraft asset management agreement aimed at maximizing aircraft residual value and increasing the availability of Used Serviceable Material (USM) to operators worldwide. The agreement covers teardown, asset management and material remarketing projects.

Under it, AvAir will manage tasks related to harvested USM, including inventory monetization, repair strategy, global sales and distribution. The program begins with three US-based teardowns, involving Airbus A320 family aircraft and Boeing 737NG assets.
