Ohio Awards 30-Year Tax Credit to Electra.aero for Clark County Hybrid-Electric Aircraft Facility

The Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved a 2.227 percent, 30-year tax credit on August 24, 2026, for Electra.aero, Inc., an advanced aerospace startup that plans to build and operate a production and assembly facility in Clark County, Ohio. The facility will be located at AirParkOhio, adjacent to Springfield Buckley Municipal Airport, and will serve as the company's new headquarters, where Electra.aero plans to manufacture a nine-passenger hybrid-electric aircraft designed for short-range trips.

The company projects creating 1,975 jobs and generating nearly $181.5 million in new annual payroll by the end of 2035. The Clark County project is one of more than a dozen statewide projects approved for state assistance in the same round, and together those projects are expected to generate nearly $310 million in new payroll across Ohio.
