Why It MattersThe dispute signals that regional security-driven transit suspensions remain strictly enforced, exposing carriers to regulatory action for unilateral resumption decisions.

Kuwait's Directorate General of Civil Aviation has denied reports that transit operations at Kuwait International Airport have resumed, confirming the suspension remains in force until further notice. Al Rajhi stressed that the decisions and instructions suspending transit operations have remained in force since attacks began in the region, introduced to maintain security and safety standards for passengers, aircraft and airports amid current regional conditions. He added that the action against Jazeera Airways was taken under applicable regulations after the airline breached the authority's decisions, instructions and controls governing transit operations.

The civil aviation authority confirmed that any decision to lift the suspension or resume transit services would be announced officially through its approved channels.
