Delta County Airport Offers Self-Operated FBO With Jet A, 24/7 Avgas Kiosk and Heated Transient Hangars

Why It MattersPublishing a full fee schedule with fuel-purchase waivers shows how municipal-run FBOs at smaller airports compete on cost transparency and incentives for transient general aviation traffic.

Delta County Airport operates its FBO on its own behalf, providing full-service Jet A support for commercial and general aviation customers and a 24/7 self-service 100LL avgas kiosk for smaller aircraft. The airport partners with AEG Fuels, which supplies aviation fuel, equipment and training. Beyond fueling, the FBO offers aircraft handling, forklift support and fully insulated, heated transient hangar facilities. Fuel prices are updated weekly, and all based aircraft are exempt from landing fees, ramp fees, and facility and handling fees.

Published airfield service fees include plug-in at $30 per night, power start (GPU) at $50 per half-hour, and forklift at $125 per hour (one-hour minimum, waiver required). A standard callout costs a $200 minimum plus $50 per hour, with a four-hour minimum; a weekend or holiday callout costs a $400 minimum plus $100 per hour, also with a four-hour minimum. Some charges are waived with fuel purchases, including a $320 charge waived with 200 gallons of fuel and a $50 charge waived with 50 gallons.

Transient hangar rates are $75 daily and $600 monthly for piston-engine aircraft, and $150 daily and $1,200 monthly for turboprops. Weekly rates are available and subject to change. A one-time charge, which includes tie-down and towing, is assessed upon deplanement of any crew or passengers, and an initial parking charge applies after the first eight hours.
