Travis Scott Flies Private Jet to Volo Museum, Buys Four Collector Cars Including 1989 Lamborghini Countach

Why It MattersA celebrity's private-jet trip to a regional collector-car dealer shows how high-net-worth buyers use business aviation to reach niche destinations that scheduled airline networks do not serve.

Hip-hop artist Travis Scott flew on his private jet to tour the Volo Museum in Volo and bought four collector cars from its showrooms, the museum said in a social media post Tuesday afternoon. The cars he hand-picked are a 1989 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary, a 1955 Chevrolet 150 Sedan Delivery, a 1957 Ford Fairlane and a 1954 Chevrolet 3100. The museum said Scott was "very humble and kind to all of our employees" and wants to bring his family back to visit. The date of the visit and the price paid were not disclosed.

Scott, 35, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster II, is a Houston-area native who rose to fame in the 2010s. His album "Utopia" debuted at Number 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2023, he founded Cactus Jack Records in 2017, and he has received 10 Grammy nominations. His earlier car collection has included a Bugatti Chiron, a LaFerrari and several Lamborghinis.

Lamborghini unveiled the Countach in 1971 and built it for 16 years before phasing it out in 1990. The 25th Anniversary edition, with styling updates by designer Horacio Pagani and a 5.2-liter V12 engine, was the last version, and an estimated 650 were built. The Chevrolet 150 Sedan Delivery Scott bought is black with a lowered stance, custom wheels and a blue interior, and the Ford Fairlane is a pink and brown convertible.

The Volo Museum traces its roots to 1960, when the Grams family bought a former dairy farm in Volo. It has grown into a 75-acre attraction drawing about 500,000 visitors a year and displays more than 50 famous TV and movie cars. It also operates as a collector car dealership, with many showroom vehicles for sale.
