FlightPath3D Extends Moving Map Contract With Textron Aviation for Cessna Citation Jets
Why It MattersThe extension shows cabin entertainment and flight-information software becoming a standard, factory-integrated feature of business jet cabins, as manufacturers favour long-term suppliers over ad hoc aftermarket additions.
FlightPath3D, a moving map technology provider, announced on October 20, 2026 a contract extension with business aircraft manufacturer Textron Aviation. The multi-year agreement continues a cooperation between the two companies that began nearly a decade ago.

FlightPath3D's 3D Moving Map is available as a factory-configured option on the Cessna Citation Ascend, Latitude and Longitude business jets, and can also be added as an aftermarket option for aircraft owners. It is currently flying on more than 325 Cessna Citation aircraft globally.
The map can be accessed on smartphones and tablets as well as on bulkhead monitors. Features include augmented reality views such as a cinematic sunset view, an aircraft 360 view with custom livery for each new owner, and a cockpit view with heads-up display. Passengers also see real-time flight information and a world clock. According to the company, the solution is fully integrated into the cabin management hardware and does not use the traveler's or operator's data plan.
Owners can choose from multiple FlightPath3D configuration options. Recently launched BizAv Studio allows on-wing customization of themes, flight information, place names and more. Howie Lewis, vice president of business aviation sales for FlightPath3D, said business jet travel demands a seamless experience throughout the journey.
