TRU Simulation Introduces First Cessna Grand Caravan EX Flight Training Device on Veris Platform

TRU Simulation + Training Inc., an affiliate of Textron Aviation Inc. and a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, announced the introduction of its Cessna Grand Caravan EX Veris Virtual Reality Flight Training Device (FTD). It is the first Caravan-configured training device in TRU Simulation's portfolio and expands the Veris product line, which already includes the Bell 505, Cessna Skyhawk and Airbus H125.
The device combines virtual reality technology with a fully configured cockpit designed to replicate Caravan instrumentation, controls and avionics, including Garmin G1000 NXi avionics. Its dual-seat configuration supports both single-pilot and multi-crew training requirements, and it can be used with or without a virtual reality headset.
TRU Simulation President and CEO Jerry Messaris said the Veris platform was created to make high-fidelity simulation accessible to more operators and training organizations, and that the Grand Caravan EX serves missions ranging from cargo and commuter operations to special mission and utility flying. More than 3,100 Caravan and Grand Caravan aircraft have been delivered worldwide, with certification in 100 countries and over 25 million flight hours accumulated. The Grand Caravan EX produces 867 horsepower and has a rate of climb of 1,275 feet per minute.
