Jeppesen ForeFlight and uAvionix Announce More Than 100,000 Sentry ADS-B Receivers Shipped
Why It MattersA portable receiver family at this installed scale shows how consumer-grade devices have become a mainstream layer of traffic, weather and attitude awareness alongside certified panel avionics in general aviation.
uAvionix and Jeppesen ForeFlight announced on October 15, 2026, from Austin, Texas, that more than 100,000 ForeFlight Sentry-Family ADS-B receivers have shipped, a milestone for what they describe as the world's best-selling portable ADS-B receiver family. Sentry is a Jeppesen ForeFlight product collaboratively designed and manufactured by uAvionix Corporation, combining ForeFlight's flight application with uAvionix's ADS-B technology, aviation electronics and manufacturing expertise.

The companies said pilots have reported Sentry providing early traffic identification, real-time weather information when conditions deteriorated, and carbon monoxide detection that alerted them to dangerous CO levels. Pilots have also relied on Sentry's built-in AHRS and its integration with ForeFlight Synthetic Vision as an independent source of attitude and situational awareness during vacuum pump failures and other avionics-related issues. Shane Woodson, VP Crewed Aviation at uAvionix, said the 100,000 figure is an incredible manufacturing milestone but that what makes it meaningful are the stories behind those units.
The Sentry family spans the original Sentry, Sentry Mini and the current flagship Sentry Plus. Sentry Plus combines dual-band ADS-B traffic and subscription-free weather with GPS, AHRS for ForeFlight Synthetic Vision, carbon monoxide detection, an integrated display, more than 20 hours of battery life and advanced ForeFlight integration. Sentry Mini offers dual-band ADS-B reception, GPS and USB-C power in a compact package. The companies said the 100,000-plus receivers represent millions of flight hours supported by enhanced traffic, weather, position, attitude and safety awareness.
