Textron Aviation Secures FAA Certification of Gogo Galileo HDX for Cessna Citation Longitude and Latitude

Why It MattersAn airframer-backed LEO connectivity option, offered free on new deliveries from 2028, signals that OEMs are moving to make satellite connectivity a factory-supported feature rather than an aftermarket choice.

Textron Aviation Inc., a Textron Inc. company, announced on October 15, 2026 that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has certified Gogo Galileo HDX for the Cessna Citation Longitude and Cessna Citation Latitude. The certification gives customers access to a factory-supported global low-earth-orbit (LEO) connectivity solution.

Customers who choose Gogo Galileo HDX will receive a preferred worldwide service rate guaranteed for three years. Factory-new aircraft delivered beginning in 2028 will be eligible for installation of the system, which is powered by Eutelsat's OneWeb LEO network, at no charge. Textron Aviation says this makes it the first original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to offer such an option.

The system uses a fuselage-mounted antenna designed to make it easier to install and operate than other satellite connectivity systems currently available. It is described as a low-latency, high-speed solution that lets passengers stay online throughout a flight anywhere in the world. Chris Hearne, senior vice president, Engineering & Programs at Textron Aviation, said customers rely on connectivity that performs reliably worldwide, and called the certification the result of a strong effort across the company's teams. Gogo chief executive officer Christopher Moore said Gogo customers also receive cybersecurity and data privacy protections and 24/7/365 customer support, including a technician on the tarmac within 24 hours if needed.

The Citation Longitude is Textron Aviation's flagship business jet, with a range of 3,500 nautical miles (6,482 km), seating for up to 12 passengers and Honeywell HTF7700L engines. The Citation Latitude is a midsize business jet with a four-passenger range of 2,700 nautical miles (5,000 km) at high-speed cruise, a takeoff field length of 3,580 feet (1,091 m) at maximum takeoff weight, seating for up to nine passengers and Pratt & Whitney PW306D1 engines.
