EASA Eases Jordan Airspace Guidance, Now Advises Airlines to Weigh Risks Rather Than Avoid It
Why It MattersOperators with Middle East routings regain the option to plan through Jordanian airspace on a risk assessment rather than a blanket avoidance, though the extended bulletin keeps the region under formal monitoring.
The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) said on Wednesday that it now recommends airlines take potential risks into account when operating in Jordanian airspace. This eases earlier guidance that advised carriers to avoid the airspace altogether.

EASA also stated on its website that the conflict zone information bulletin covering Jordan has been extended until November 16.
