Why It MattersPresidential visits to small general-aviation airports bring temporary security perimeters and ground restrictions that shape access for local operators, based aircraft and visiting traffic on the day.

Whitfield County officials have announced traffic restrictions and road closures in Dalton for Friday, October 16, when President Donald Trump visits the Dalton Municipal Airport. A portion of Airport Road will be completely closed while the president is at the airport, running from the intersection of Keith Mill Road and Airport Road to the Murray County line, beyond the airport.
