HAESL Completes Its 6,000th Engine Overhaul
Why It MattersA 6,000-engine overhaul record shows how concentrated widebody engine maintenance has become in a few established joint-venture shops, which matters for airlines and operators competing for limited Trent-family repair capacity.
Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Limited (HAESL), a joint venture established by Rolls-Royce and Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (HAECO), has completed the overhaul of its 6,000th engine, which has come off the line.

The engines it has serviced range from the early RB211 series to the current Trent series, including the Trent XWB that powers the Airbus A350. Over the years HAESL has grown into one of the world's leading aero-engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) providers, serving airlines and operators around the globe.
