UK aircraft maintenance firm Luftavia enters liquidation after 11 years
Why It MattersThe failure removes an independent line-maintenance provider from several of the UK's busiest airports, leaving operators that relied on third-party engineering cover at those sites to look elsewhere.
Luftavia, an aircraft maintenance company that operated at major UK airports including London Heathrow, Manchester and Birmingham, has entered liquidation after 11 years in business.

The company was founded in May 2015 and offered scheduled line maintenance, ad-hoc repairs and rapid temporary line station set-ups. It described its services as efficient, cost-effective maintenance solutions using UK Civil Aviation Authority-approved products, and said its line maintenance engineers worked to a "right first time" quality standard with specific training in risk assessment and SMS.
