L'VOYAGE Attends Japan Aviation Service's 40th Anniversary, Reinforcing Japan Charter Ground-Handling Partnership
Why It MattersCharter brokers are increasingly consolidating Asian ground support around single accredited handlers, a trend that favors IS-BAH-certified specialists in tightly regulated markets such as Japan.
L'VOYAGE, a Hong Kong-based government-licensed travel agency and private aviation consultancy, sent representatives from its L'VOYAGE and Private Aviation Technology Ltd. (PATL) divisions to Japan Aviation Service's (JAS) 40th-anniversary celebration last month, according to a release dated October 19, 2026. The event marked four decades of JAS operating as a local business aviation specialist in Japan, handling ground services, flight permits, charter coordination and aviation consulting under IS-BAH certification. L'VOYAGE said its attendance reinforces an existing working relationship with JAS.

JAS provides the on-the-ground layer for Japan charters: landing permits, customs coordination, ramp handling and local regulatory filings specific to Japanese airports. The release cites airport-level detail. Tokyo Haneda (HND/RJTT) offers the closest access to central Tokyo, and Sendai Airport (RJSS) serves the Tohoku region. Kansai-bound arrivals from Hong Kong must route through Kansai International Airport (KIX/RJBB), the only Kansai-area airport cleared for private jet operations, while Osaka's RJOO does not permit them.
L'VOYAGE CEO Jolie Howard said JAS has held IS-BAH certification through 40 years of operating in what she called one of the most tightly regulated aviation markets in Asia. She said this is the kind of documented standard the company's in-house compliance team looks for before routing a client's trip through a country. Working with one accredited ground handler rather than several loosely vetted contacts, she added, gives clients consistent permit turnaround and the same safety standard on every leg.
L'VOYAGE was founded in 2014 by Diana Chou and is licensed by the Hong Kong Travel Industry Authority. It is led by Howard, formerly CEO of TAG Aviation Asia, operates offices in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, and says it has access to more than 4,000 aircraft worldwide.
