Qatar's Green Sky Capital to Invest $239 Million in Sustainable Aviation Fuel Plant at Morocco's Nador West Med
Why It MattersThe project adds regional SAF supply near European markets, built on used cooking oil and residues rather than crops, and ties Gulf capital to North African fuel production.
Doha-based Green Sky Capital will invest $239 million in a Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production plant to be built in the Nador West Med port complex in Morocco.

The planned facility is designed to process used cooking oil, fats and regional residues into green jet fuel using Hydro-processed Esters and Fatty Acids (HEFA) technology licensed by France's Axens. The plant targets an annual SAF production capacity of 200,000 tons and is to produce premium-quality green jet fuel as well as renewable diesel. The technology is described as an advanced second-generation process.
