The deal extends WCC Aviation Holdings beyond aviation education and pilot and airline operations training into business aviation, aircraft management, charter flights, aircraft maintenance and technical support. The group's existing portfolio includes WCC Aeronautical & Technological College, WCC Pilot Academy and Sky Pasada. World Citi Colleges has more than 50 years of experience in education, serves more than 20,000 students across 30 hectares of facilities, and has produced more than 200,000 employed graduates.

PhilJets serves customers in the Philippines and across the ASEAN region. Its capabilities cover fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft operations, including business jets and helicopters, as well as avionics equipment, engines and airframes, supported by relationships with international aerospace and equipment manufacturers. The company said it manages, supports and operates a multi-type fleet ranging from Gulfstream to Bombardier or Cessna Citation aircraft, as well as Airbus and Bell helicopters, and is the Safran Helicopter Engines representative for civil and commercial customers.

PhilJets has run training programs giving students and fresh graduates hands-on experience in aviation operations and technical functions. More than 300 on-the-job trainees and Management Training Program participants have completed them. Former trainees have joined organizations including Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines and Lufthansa Technik, while others have built careers in Asia, the Middle East and North America.

"Our vision is to connect the full journey, from educating aviation professionals and training pilots to serving passengers and growing aviation businesses," Guico said. Tea said PhilJets looks to strengthen the aviation ecosystem with a focus on safety, quality and innovation. The two groups intend to explore collaboration on student immersion, mentorship, practical training and employment pathways, and on aligning education with operational requirements in flight planning, flight dispatch, aircraft serviceability, maintenance procedures and safety practices.
