Why It MattersFresh capital for UK engine manufacturing capacity signals that a major engine maker is preparing production infrastructure for sustained civil aerospace and defence demand rather than a short-term cycle.
Rolls-Royce has announced a £300 million investment in its manufacturing and engineering facilities across the UK. The company said the investment reinforces its commitment to the UK's advanced manufacturing ecosystem and lays the groundwork for further growth across its global civil aerospace and defence businesses.

Rolls-Royce has invested more than £3 billion in the UK since the start of its transformation programme in 2023, funding research and development and advanced engineering programmes as well as upgrades to its facilities and infrastructure.
