Embraer Signs Component Pool Program Agreement with Portugália Airlines for E-190 and E-195 Fleet
Why It MattersPooled component support is a lever for regional operators to protect aircraft availability while controlling inventory costs, and this return shows manufacturers can win back customers who briefly tried alternative suppliers.
Embraer has announced a new Component Pool Program agreement with Portugália Airlines, a TAP Group airline, to optimize aircraft availability for its E-190 and E-195 jets. Under the agreement, Embraer's Pool Program provides comprehensive component support for the Portugália Airlines fleet. The program covers more than 300 components used in various E-Jet systems, as well as services such as exchange, repair and overhaul. Embraer lists the key benefits as savings in component repair and inventory holding costs, and a consistent framework with guaranteed performance levels.

Portugália Airlines Managing Director Mário Lobato de Faria said the airline had been served by Embraer through its Component Pool Program for some decades, a program it helped set up during the launch of the Embraer ERJ145. After a brief experience with an alternative supplier, he said, returning to the program felt right because it had always served the airline's needs and helped it grow. He also thanked Embraer for its flexibility and partnership during the transition, accommodating all of the airline's requirements.
Embraer Services & Support President and CEO Carlos Naufel said the company was proud to further strengthen its long-standing partnership with Portugália Airlines through the agreement. He added that the airline's continued confidence is a testament to the value the solutions deliver to operators worldwide, and that Embraer looks forward to supporting Portugália Airlines and its E-Jets fleet.
