Jet Connections, Miami Charter Operator at Opa-Locka, Plans Expansion Into Larger-Cabin and VIP Widebody Aircraft

Why It MattersA regional charter operator moving up from light and midsize Hawkers toward large-cabin and widebody aircraft reflects a push to compete for longer-range and higher-yield demand beyond the traditional midsize segment.

Jet Connections, a private aviation company based in Miami, Florida, operates out of Opa-Locka Executive Airport (KOPF) and offers private jet charter, aircraft management and customized aviation solutions. Gabriela Marquez told Air Charter Guide that every flight the company operates meets ARGUS, NBAA, NATA and FlightSafety standards, and that a client who provides a destination and travel window typically receives a confirmed itinerary, including aircraft, crew and ground transportation, within the hour.

The company's core fleet is built around the Hawker line. For clients who need a different cabin size, greater range or another aircraft category, Jet Connections says it can source additional aircraft through its aviation network. Marquez said the company is expanding its fleet and operational capabilities to include super-midsize, large-cabin and, ultimately, VIP widebody aircraft, combining aircraft ownership, aircraft management and strategic partnerships to offer charter, management, acquisition and sales services.

Marquez began her aviation career in 1991 by founding Avionics Sales Corp., an aviation MRO and avionics support company, and says she has more than 30 years of industry experience. She said Miami to Teterboro is the company's most requested route by a clear margin, typically flown on a same-day or next-day basis.
