General Aviation Aircraft Market Forecast to Reach $38.5 Billion by 2030, Report Says

Why It MattersForecast demand is tied to business jet deliveries concentrated in North America, with Asia-Pacific the fastest-growing region, so new aircraft supply and activity may increasingly tilt toward both.

A market report on general aviation aircraft projects that the market will grow from $25.91 billion in 2025 to $28.14 billion in 2026, a compound annual growth rate of 8.6%. It forecasts further expansion to $38.5 billion by 2030, at a compound annual growth rate of 8.2%.

General Aviation Aircraft Market Forecast to Reach $38.5 Billion by 2030, Report Says

The report attributes past growth to rising demand for personal air travel, increased business aviation activity, wider adoption of flight training programs, greater use of aircraft in agriculture, and expanding aerial surveying services. Future growth is expected to be driven by demand for flexible regional air transportation, emergency medical aviation, more efficient aircraft, specialized operations, and recreational flying. General aviation aircraft are civil planes used for non-commercial purposes outside scheduled airline and military operations, including personal and business travel, flight instruction, aerial surveys, emergency medical services, farming, and leisure flying.

The report names rising business aviation demand as a primary driver. It cites an August 2025 forecast by the Aircraft Performance Group, a US-based flight operations software provider, that about 8,700 new business jets will be delivered worldwide over the next ten years, with North America expected to receive more than half of them. North America was the largest regional market in 2025, while Asia-Pacific is projected to be the fastest-growing through the forecast period. The report also covers South East Asia, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, South America, the Middle East, and Africa.
