Neuberger Specialty Finance launches New Bridge AeroFinance, third business jet lender to enter market in 2026
Why It MattersThe third dedicated business aviation lending platform launch in 2026 points to rising investor appetite for aircraft financing as traditional lenders pull back.
Neuberger Specialty Finance announced the launch of New Bridge AeroFinance on September 14, 2026, making it the third dedicated business aviation lending platform to enter the market this year. The platform will be led by veteran aviation financier Richard Moody and will target an initial portfolio in excess of $2 billion, covering structured debt across the broader aerospace sector including aircraft and other aviation and aerospace assets. Moody said the partnership with Neuberger aims to develop a structured debt platform focused on creative solutions for the broader aerospace sector, targeting transactions across the capital stack involving aircraft and other parts of the aviation and aerospace ecosystem.

Bain Capital and Elevex Capital launched similar business aviation lending platforms earlier in 2026. Elevex's platform draws on a $1 billion forward-flow facility from TPG as disclosed capital, while New Bridge's $2 billion figure represents a portfolio target. Global Jet Capital, regarded as business aviation's benchmark lender, has recorded more than $5.2 billion in aircraft financing originations to date. The three separate platform launches within months of each other signal growing investor interest in financing aircraft transactions that have increasingly struggled to attract support from larger traditional lenders.
