Aleut Ventures Opens Frosty Fuels FBO at Cold Bay Airport in Alaska

Aleut Ventures has opened a new fixed-base operation under the Frosty Fuels brand at Cold Bay Airport (PACD) in Cold Bay, Alaska, the company announced this September. The FBO is part of a broader $1.25 million investment by Aleut Ventures in Cold Bay's aviation infrastructure and support services.
Frosty Fuels, a subsidiary of Aleut Ventures, offers services supporting commercial, cargo, charter, medevac, military, government, and regional aviation operations. Amenities at the new FBO include a crew lounge, passenger waiting area, ground power unit (GPU) services, deicing capabilities, vehicle rental, lodging accommodations, and 24/7 call-out support. Frosty Fuels also provides aviation fueling and ground support services at the site.

Cold Bay Airport features a 10,180-foot runway and operates year-round, serving as an aviation hub for Alaska and the broader North Pacific region. Aleut Ventures serves over 5,000 Unangax̂ shareholders and descendants, with a portfolio spanning government and mechanical contracting, real estate, technology and infrastructure, fuel sales, port services, environmental services, and energy.

A year-round runway of this length at a location positioned along North Pacific air routes makes the site useful as a diversion, refueling or staging point for operators who might otherwise have limited options in the region.
