PS Opens Private Commercial Terminal at Miami International Airport, Its Fourth U.S. Location

PS, the private terminal operator founded in 2017 as The Private Suite, has opened PS Miami at Miami International Airport, its fourth U.S. facility alongside existing locations at LAX, ATL and DFW. The concept lets travelers flying commercial carriers such as American or Delta skip the main terminal, completing luggage handling, security and government formalities at a separate facility before a BMW drives them directly to their aircraft, with the process reversed on arrival.
For Miami, PS took over the former Pan American Airways headquarters, a 1960s building designated a Miami-Dade County Historic Site, redesigning the 34,000-square-foot space with RJ Heisenbottle Architects and interior designer Cliff Fong while preserving original Pan Am insignias, gold paneling and reflecting pools alongside terrazzo, marble, smoked glass and tropical-themed patterns, plus an open-air courtyard. The terminal offers two guest options, The Salon for solo and business travelers and five fully enclosed Private Suites, both with chef-prepared dining and spa treatments.
Through Miami-Dade County's Art in Public Places program, PS commissioned Miami-based Argentine artist Nina Surel, founder of the all-female art collective The Collective 62, to create site-integrated works including a stoneware bas-relief mural and a mosaicked reflecting pool. "Miami is such a vibrant, international city, and we wanted PS MIA to feel like it belongs here," said Amina Belouizdad Porter, CEO of PS. PS Direct, a door-to-door transfer service linking the aircraft directly to a traveler's home or hotel, is expected to launch at the Miami location later this year.
