What happened
Spring City Aviation, a Milwaukee-based aircraft fuel and service hangar operator, began running fixed-base operator services at Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport in Janesville, Wisconsin, in June, taking over a 6,400-square-foot hangar previously operated by REVV Aviation. Airport Director Aimee Scrima confirmed Spring City has been operating at the county-run airport for approximately two months, and that all former REVV Aviation employees were retained, allowing a seamless transition between operators.
The hangar has changed hands before: it was originally known as Janesville Jet Center, then taken over in 2021 by an operator running under the name Carver Aero before rebranding to REVV Aviation. Spring City announced the Janesville expansion via LinkedIn in June.
Spring City, founded 30 years ago, operates FBO services at Milwaukee, Waukesha, Burlington, and Baraboo/Wisconsin Dells. The company also runs flight schools and charter services at some of its Milwaukee-area locations, though Scrima noted Spring City did not initially intend to offer those services at the Janesville site.

Whether Janesville eventually gets Spring City's flight school or charter offerings, which the company runs elsewhere but has not committed to here, is the open question for local operators and pilots watching the transition.
