Yemen's General Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority (GCAM) has categorically denied reports alleging the closure of airports or the suspension of flights in the country's liberated areas, describing the information as false and not originating from any official source. In an official statement, GCAM said no decision has been issued to close any airport and that air traffic is proceeding according to approved operational procedures, adding that it is continuously monitoring airport operations to ensure uninterrupted air traffic in line with international aviation safety and security standards.
GCAM urged citizens, travelers, and media outlets to exercise caution and verify information before sharing it, calling on the public to rely exclusively on official statements issued by the authority and relevant government agencies regarding airport operations and aviation activities. The authority reiterated that it is the competent body responsible for regulating and overseeing civil aviation and meteorological affairs in the Republic of Yemen.
