The proposed AD would require operators to modify or replace each affected seat — including single seat assemblies and double seat assemblies with part numbers and serial numbers listed in Tables 1 and 2 of Appendix 1 of EASA AD 2025-0200 — and would prohibit the installation of affected seats.

The action mirrors EASA AD 2025-0200, dated September 17, 2025, and corrected September 30, 2025, which the European Union Aviation Safety Agency issued to address the same unsafe condition. The FAA proposes to incorporate EASA AD 2025-0200 by reference in the final rule. The FAA has assigned docket number FAA-2026-8801 to this rulemaking, and comments must be received by October 26, 2026.
