EHang withdraws 2026 full-year revenue guidance citing post-accident regulatory caution in China

EHang has withdrawn its previously issued full-year revenue guidance for 2026 and is not providing replacement guidance, citing a slowdown in passenger commercial operation approvals following a major accident involving a piloted light-sport aircraft in China in late June 2026. Founder, Chairman and CEO Huazhi Hu said the incident prompted greater regulatory caution around low-altitude aviation safety and affected the pace of approvals in certain regions, describing it as a temporary adjustment in industry pace rather than a change in market demand, technology foundation or long-term direction.

For the second quarter of 2026, EHang sold 36 eVTOL aircraft — 35 units of the EH216 series and one VT35 — down from 52 EH216-series units in Q2 2025 but up from four units in Q1 2026. The company also sold 520 GD4.0 formation drones, compared with 1,000 units in Q1 2026. Total revenues for Q2 2026 were RMB 77.9 million (USD 11.5 million), up 203.5% from RMB 25.7 million in Q1 2026 but down 31.3% from RMB 113.3 million in Q2 2025, with gross margin at 61.2%, roughly in line with 61.5% in Q2 2025 and 62.5% in Q1 2026.

Operating loss was RMB 131.7 million (USD 19.4 million), compared with RMB 100.1 million in Q2 2025 and RMB 127.9 million in Q1 2026, while net loss was RMB 128.3 million (USD 18.9 million), versus RMB 103.0 million in Q2 2025 and RMB 126.4 million in Q1 2026. EHang said trial operations at Air Operator Certificate holder sites in Guangzhou and Hefei have remained safe and stable for 17 months, and has begun internal trial operation of the first point-to-point test route for the EH216-S at its Guangzhou headquarters. Since Q2 2026, the EH216-S has expanded its flight footprint to Mexico, Switzerland and Kazakhstan, and the EH216 series has now flown in 23 countries with nearly 100,000 safe flight missions completed.
