Comlux Aviation adds second Bombardier Global 8000 to managed fleet

Comlux Aviation announced on September 1, 2026, that it has taken a second Bombardier Global 8000 into its managed fleet, based in Zurich. The addition comes five months after the company introduced the world's first Global 8000 under management, in April 2026, and now makes Comlux Aviation the operator of two managed Global 8000 aircraft.

The aircraft and its engines are enrolled in manufacturer maintenance programs, which the company says gives the owner predictable operating costs and access to manufacturer support throughout the aircraft's life. Andrea Zanetto, CEO of Comlux Aviation, said: "When we welcomed the first Global 8000 into our managed fleet just a few months ago, we knew it marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter. Seeing another owner choose Comlux Aviation to manage their Global 8000 so soon afterwards is incredibly rewarding and a testament to the relationships we have built with our clients over the years."

Comlux Aviation is a subsidiary of the Comlux Group, headquartered in Switzerland, and provides aircraft operations, management, and charter services to VIP customers. The company has been active in business aviation for over 20 years, offering services including aircraft sales and acquisitions, cabin interiors, maintenance, and upgrades.

A second owner choosing the same manager for the same new flagship type within months of the first points to how aircraft management contracts get won at the top of the business jet market: reputation and continuity with existing clients carry weight alongside the aircraft's own capability. Enrollment in manufacturer maintenance programs is presented as part of that pitch, tying cost predictability and factory-backed support to the management relationship rather than to the aircraft alone.

Managed-fleet growth around a newly certified type also shows how quickly owners of high-value aircraft can move once a manager has established a track record with that model, since the operational and maintenance framework built for the first aircraft can be extended to the second with less setup. What remains to be seen is whether Comlux Aviation adds further Global 8000 aircraft to its managed fleet, and how the type's early operating experience under manufacturer programs holds up as more owners bring their aircraft under management.
