PAL-V Becomes First FlyDrive Developer to Receive European Production Organisation Approval

PAL-V, the Dutch flying car manufacturer, has obtained European Production Organisation Approval (POA), becoming the first FlyDrive developer in the Advanced Air Mobility sector to secure the credential. The approval grants PAL-V both automotive and aviation production authorisation needed to manufacture its FlyDrive vehicles.
The milestone follows years of development and a series of certification achievements, including an EASA No Technical Objection issued in 2025. PAL-V founder and CEO Robert Dingemanse called the approval "a major milestone," stating it confirms the company has "built a world-class organisation capable of developing, certifying and manufacturing airworthy products."
The approval also reflects a broader European industrial effort involving suppliers, engineering specialists, knowledge institutions and certification experts, with PAL-V saying its ecosystem is supporting advances in autonomous flight, advanced materials, components and zero-emission propulsion. The company currently holds a reservation portfolio covering its first three years of planned production.
