The European Union Aviation Safety Agency published Airworthiness Directive AD 2026-0170 on 1 September 2026, applicable from 8 September 2026, requiring inspection of certain Rotax 912 ULS2 gearboxes. The directive targets only gearboxes whose part references and serial numbers appear in Rotax service bulletins ASB_2026-001 and ASB_A-2026-001.
