Aircraft MRO Market Forecast to Grow from $73.58 Billion in 2025 to $118 Billion by 2030, Report Says
Why It MattersProjected MRO growth is tied to fleet modernization, predictive maintenance and outsourcing, which points to rising demand for independent providers, including those serving business and general aviation.
A market research report from The Business Research Company estimates that the global aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) market will grow from $73.58 billion in 2025 to $81.12 billion in 2026, a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.2%. The report projects the market will reach $118 billion by 2030, at a CAGR of 9.8%.

The report attributes past growth to an expanding aircraft fleet, rising air passenger volumes, higher aircraft utilization and more frequent maintenance needs. Forecast growth is linked to wider use of predictive maintenance, fleet modernization, aircraft lifecycle management, increased outsourcing of MRO services and a stronger focus on safety and regulatory compliance. Trends cited include digital maintenance records and condition-based maintenance.
In May 2026, VSE Corporation, a US-based aftermarket distribution and MRO company, completed its acquisition of Precision Aviation Group, aiming to strengthen its commercial and business/general aviation aftermarket position through component repair, distribution and a larger global MRO footprint. In May 2024, ExecuJet Aviation Group Malaysia opened what it described as the country's largest business aviation MRO center, in Subang.
The market is segmented by service type (engine overhaul, airframe maintenance, line maintenance, component maintenance, modifications), aircraft type (narrow body, wide body, regional, other), application (commercial, military, business and general aviation) and end user (OEMs, airlines, independent MRO providers). North America is the largest regional market, while Asia-Pacific is forecast to grow fastest.
