Cessna Citation XLS+ Receives New Black-and-White Paint Scheme and Personalised Interior After Purchase

Why It MattersThe project illustrates how refurbishment and personalisation are becoming part of the acquisition and management service offered to business jet buyers, extending the work beyond the purchase itself.

A newly purchased Cessna Citation XLS+ has been refurbished to reflect its owner's preferences, with a new exterior paint scheme and a redesigned cabin. aero accompanied the project and published its account on 12 October 2026. The aircraft's previous design was described as simple and understated, with light seats and warm wood finishes in the original interior. The customer's brief called for a new abstract paint scheme and an interior with a personal identity.

On the exterior, an abstract, contrasting black-and-white scheme replaced the earlier, finer lines and was carried across the fuselage and tail. Workshop photographs show engine cowlings removed and prepared for paint, and structural preparation on the aircraft ahead of painting.

Inside, both soft furnishings and hard surfaces were reworked, covering seat upholstery, stitching, headrests, side consoles and surrounding interior finishes, so that the cabin carries a consistent design. The customer's logo was sized and positioned using templates before being embroidered into the headrests. The finished cabin combines light seats with geometric stitching, embroidered headrests and dark interior surfaces.

aero said its aircraft acquisition support can help buyers consider personalisation potential during an aircraft search, and that its aircraft management team can discuss refurbishment scope and coordinate the work on the owner's behalf.
