Embraer Phenom 300 joins Waltzing Matilda Aviation charter fleet, bringing FAA Part 135 roster to five aircraft
Why It MattersLight-jet additions let charter operators widen mission coverage beyond heavy-cabin fleets, while basing new aircraft at a specific FBO signals targeted regional demand rather than fleet-wide expansion.
What happened
Waltzing Matilda Aviation (WMA) has added an Embraer Phenom 300 to its FAA Part 135 charter fleet, bringing the US aircraft management and on-demand charter operator's certificated fleet to five aircraft. The light jet joins two Citation Excels and two Challenger 604s already in the fleet.

The Phenom 300 is WMA's first aircraft based at the Atlantic Aviation FBO at Hanscom Field in Bedford, Massachusetts. The jet seats seven passengers in an executive interior that features a centre club arrangement with dual executive tables, newly installed Gogo wi-fi, a refreshment centre, two forward-facing seats, and a lavatory.
Industry impact & what to watch
A single-aircraft addition that changes a basing location as much as a fleet count points to operators building out regional coverage rather than simply scaling capacity. Pairing a light jet with existing midsize and heavy-cabin types gives a charter operator more mission flexibility, letting it match aircraft size to trip length and passenger count instead of relying on the same cabin for every booking.
Whether this expands WMA's addressable market around Hanscom Field or simply adds depth to an existing service area will depend on how the Phenom 300's utilization compares with the rest of the fleet in the months ahead.
