Eagle Air Repair Adds Second Hangar at Prescott Regional Airport, Exceeding 15,000 sq ft
Why It MattersRegional MRO shops expanding physical capacity signals growing demand for general aviation maintenance, parts sales and restoration work beyond what existing facilities can absorb.
What happened
Eagle Air Repair is expanding its operations at Prescott Regional Airport (KPRC) in Prescott, Arizona, by adding a second hangar. The expansion will bring the company's total shop and office space at the airport to more than 15,000 square feet.

The general aviation maintenance company said the new facility will increase capacity for aircraft inspection, maintenance, repair, and restoration work. It will also provide space for expanded parts sales, specialized repair and overhaul services, and larger-scale aircraft restoration projects.
Owner Philip McQuaid said, "It has been an amazing couple of years. We have continued to focus on growing our business to meet the needs of our customers. With this additional space, we will be in a much better position to serve both our longtime customers and the new customers coming through our doors." Eagle Air Repair provides scheduled aircraft inspections, airframe and engine repair, troubleshooting, pre-purchase evaluations, aircraft upgrades, and other general aviation maintenance services.
Industry impact & what to watch
A general aviation maintenance shop adding a second hangar at its home airport reflects how MRO providers scale when demand for inspections, repairs, and restoration work outpaces existing floor space. In this segment, capacity is often the binding constraint: more square footage directly translates into more aircraft moving through the shop at once, more parts inventory on hand, and the ability to take on larger restoration projects that a single hangar could not accommodate.
What happens next at Prescott Regional Airport will depend on how quickly Eagle Air Repair fills the new space with inspection, repair, and restoration work, and whether the added parts sales and overhaul services draw customers beyond its existing base.
