Nigerian Business Aviation Conference to Return in May 2027 After a Decade-Long Absence
Why It MattersThe revival of a dedicated Nigerian forum coincides with Africa's rapid business aviation growth, giving operators, financiers and regulators a venue to address the financing, infrastructure and regulatory gaps that constrain it.
The Nigerian Business Aviation Conference (NBAC) will return after a decade-long absence. NBAC 2027, organized by EAN Aviation under the theme One Sky Many Stakeholders, will be held in Lagos on May 4-5, 2027. It is expected to bring together operators, regulators, OEMs, finance providers, investors and aircraft owners from Nigeria, Africa and the international aviation community.

The conference returns as Africa recorded the world's fastest business aviation growth in 2025, with departures up 15% compared with 5% globally, according to WingX data. Nigeria accounted for 19% of all African business aviation departures between January 2019 and May 2026, with 49,586 movements. Lagos and Abuja ranked as the continent's two busiest airports, and 80% of Nigerian activity was domestic.
"In Nigeria and across Africa, where scheduled services do not always connect commercial centres efficiently, business aviation is essential to mobility, investment and trade," said Segun Demuren, CEO of EAN Aviation and chairman of the NBAC steering committee. "But demand alone will not create a sustainable industry. Continued growth requires financing, infrastructure, maintenance capacity, skilled personnel, technology and clear, enabling regulation." EAN Aviation has organized all four previous editions of NBAC. The company provides FBO services, aircraft maintenance, charter, aircraft sales and leasing, and inflight catering in Nigeria.
