Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport to Close Two Weekends in September for Runway Rehabilitation

Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) will undergo two 60-hour runway closures in September to accommodate runway rehabilitation work. The first closure begins at 8 p.m. on Friday, September 11, and the second follows the same schedule starting Friday, September 18. All aircraft operations will cease during both closures, and the GSP terminal will be closed to the public.
The rehabilitation project involves repaving more than 6,500 feet of runway and 11,001 feet of shoulder and safety areas, repairing concrete panels, and replacing runway markings. In addition to the two weekend closures, the project will also require overnight runway closures most nights beginning at 11:30 p.m.
