Starfighters Space to Display Its Commercial F-104 Supersonic Fleet at AIRSHO in Midland, Texas

Starfighters Space, Inc. (NYSE American: FJET) will take part in the September 12-13 AIRSHO at the Midland International Air & Space Port in Midland, Texas, showing its fleet of F-104 supersonic aircraft in both flight and static displays. The company says it operates the world's only commercial fleet of flight-ready Mach 2+ F-104 aircraft, and the event marks the 35th annual Commemorative Air Force High Sky Wing AIRSHO. The aircraft will be flown by Director of Flight Operations Piercarlo Ciacchi, who has logged more than 7,000 flight hours and previously flew the F-104 with the Italian Air Force.

CEO Tim Franta said the F-104 set numerous speed, altitude and time-to-climb records and served the Air Force and NASA during the early space program, adding that more than 2,500 F-104s were built worldwide but only a handful remain airworthy today, with most in the company's fleet. The F-104 Starfighter first flew in the 1950s and served the U.S. Air Force and NASA. Starfighters bases its fleet at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida and at the Midland International Air & Space Port in Texas, marketing the aircraft as platforms for air-launched payloads, pilot training, and research, development, test and evaluation work spanning hypersonics, missile defense, microgravity science, spaceflight hardware, advanced materials and defense electronic systems.
