The ePlane Company Signs MoU with Noida International Airport to Develop eVTOL Operations for e200X Air Taxi

Why It MattersAn Indian airport committing space and procedures to an eVTOL developer before the aircraft has flown shows advanced air mobility moving from prototype announcements toward airport-level integration planning.

Ubifly Technologies Private Limited, operating as The ePlane Company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Noida International Airport. The agreement sets a framework to co-develop the regulatory Standard Operating Procedures, Vertiport Management Systems and operational ecosystem needed to deploy ePlane's e200X aircraft. The partners say the collaboration paves the way for e200X-powered airport-to-airport transit, intra-city commutes and emergency air ambulance services in the region.

Under the MoU, YIAPL will allocate space within the airport premises for proof-of-concept trials, vertiports and charging stations, and will align its airport SOPs to accommodate eVTOL services. ePlane will seek the necessary clearances from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, while carrying out prototyping and flight testing of the e200X. The two parties will jointly engage with regulators, Air Traffic Control and state governments to establish safety frameworks, Vertiport Management Systems and AI-assisted fleet scheduling.

The agreement follows the recent public unveiling of the full-scale e200X PT-01 prototype, which is currently undergoing ground testing. Dr. Satyanarayanan Chakravarthy, Founder and Director of Ubifly Technologies, said the MoU will let the company systematically validate its operational models through drone trials before moving to piloted e200X flights. Daniel Bircher, Chairman of Noida International Airport, said integrating Advanced Air Mobility into the airport framework is part of its commitment to multi-modal connectivity for Delhi-NCR.
