21X and FlightBridge to Preview AI Concierge for FBO Customer Service at NBAA-BACE

Why It MattersConversational AI is moving into FBO front-desk work, where after-hours calls and ground-service coordination have depended on staffing, and the open question becomes how far operational control can be delegated.

What happened

21X and FlightBridge announced on Oct. 20, 2026, in Las Vegas a collaboration to build an AI concierge experience for private aviation, starting with customer service at fixed-base operators (FBOs). At the 2026 NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition, the companies will preview how customers could make routine requests through a natural conversation, while FlightBridge remains the aviation operations platform through which FBO teams manage and fulfill those requests.

21X will provide the conversational interface across phone, text and email. FlightBridge will provide the aviation operations layer, using its Model Context Protocol tools to turn customer conversations into structured requests within the FlightBridge workflows FBO teams already use. Initial demonstration scenarios are expected to include hotel booking, rental car booking, catering coordination and FBO service requests.

The companies say the approach is intended to give customers a more immediate point of contact, for example when calling an FBO after hours. The collaboration combines more than a decade of 21X conversational AI experience, informed by more than 500 million human-fine-tuned conversations, with FlightBridge's aviation trip logistics platform. FlightBridge says more than 40,000 aviation professionals and 15,000+ aircraft use its platform, which processes over two million booking and service requests a year.

The integration is currently in beta with select mutual customers, and general availability will be announced at a later date. FBOs are the initial focus, with potential future applications for charter companies and other aircraft operators. NBAA-BACE attendees can see a live demo at booth 2961 (21X) and booth 3963 (FlightBridge). Corey Welch, CEO of 21X, and Dudley King, president of FlightBridge, commented on the collaboration.

Industry impact & what to watch

The design splits the work in a way that matters for FBOs: the conversation layer is separate from the system of record. Requests that arrive by phone, text or email are converted into structured entries inside workflows the line and customer service teams already use, so the AI handles intake while people keep visibility and fulfillment. That is a more conservative model than handing a bot control of ground services, and it is the shape most likely to be accepted where an error on a fuel, catering or transport order lands on a real aircraft and crew.

For the segment, the pressure point is responsiveness outside staffed hours. FBO service is competitive on availability and speed of response, and requests around hotels, cars and catering are repetitive enough to be structured. Whether a conversational front end actually shortens response times, and how often a request has to be handed to a human, will only be visible once beta customers report results.

The next dated milestone is the NBAA-BACE live demonstration at booths 2961 and 3963. The wider question, the extension from FBOs to charter companies and other aircraft operators, is described only as a potential future application, with general availability to be announced at a later date.
