Execaire Aviation Completes IS-BAH Registration Across All Four Canadian FBO Locations

Why It MattersA network-wide ground handling standard turns a single-site credential into a consistency claim, shifting how multi-location FBO operators differentiate on verified safety rather than facility quality alone.

What happened

Execaire Aviation has achieved IS-BAH registration at its FBO locations in Toronto, Montreal and Halifax. That makes it the only FBO network in Canada with all of its locations registered to the internationally recognised ground handling safety standard.

Execaire Aviation Completes IS-BAH Registration Across All Four Canadian FBO Locations

The milestone completes a process that began in July 2026, when the Ottawa FBO became the first location in the network to achieve IS-BAH registration. With all four Canadian locations now certified, Execaire joins a small group of operators able to offer the same verified safety standard across an entire national network.

Rudy Scholaert, SVP Airside Ground Operations and Maintenance, said the registration reflects the standards the company's teams uphold every day. He added that consistency across the network is as important as safety itself, and that the same approach to safety and service is embedded throughout its FBO operations.

IS-BAH, the International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling, was developed by the International Business Aviation Council. It sets best practices in safety management, risk mitigation, training and standardised procedures for ground handling operations worldwide.

Industry impact & what to watch

Ground handling standards have usually been earned and displayed airport by airport, which leaves a flight department or charter operator checking each handler individually. Registering every site in a chain changes what a network can promise: the same procedures, training and risk management at each stop, rather than a patchwork depending on where the aircraft lands.

For FBO groups with several locations, that makes completeness the differentiator. A chain with one registered site can point to a credential; a chain with every site registered can point to uniformity. Execaire has framed its announcement around exactly that point, with the Ottawa registration in July 2026 as the first step and the remaining three locations following.

The practical test for customers is whether a registration at each site holds up in operation, which is a matter of how audits and renewals are handled rather than of the announcement itself. Which other multi-site handlers pursue network-wide registration is the next signal of whether this becomes a baseline expectation or stays a differentiator.
