JetZero Closes $100 Million Financing Facility to Advance Z4 Program
Why It MattersThe deal signals growing credit-market appetite for blended-wing aircraft development, tying private lending directly to production milestones ahead of certification.
JetZero has closed a $100 million financing facility to advance its Z4 aircraft program, with a lender group including Pinegrove Credit Partners, backed by Brookfield and HRTG Partners, alongside Silicon Valley Bank, a division of First-Citizens Bank. Proceeds will fund tooling and production facilities in North Carolina, where JetZero broke ground on its Factory1 production facility in June 2026 and expects to hire more than 14,000 people over 10 years. The Z4 is expected to enter service in the early 2030s.

JetZero is also advancing construction of Jet1, its full-scale demonstrator built with Scaled Composites, a Northrop Grumman company. The build was 40 percent complete as of June 2026, with first flight scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2027.
JetZero CEO and co-founder Tom O'Leary said the facility is targeted for pace, funding tooling and production facilities in North Carolina to advance aerospace innovation and reindustrialize America. CFO and Treasurer Sergey Kulyagin said adding sophisticated credit providers as investors validates the company's creditworthiness and informs its funding roadmap. Craig Caukin, Partner at Pinegrove, said the facility was structured around the program's real milestones and that the lender group, together with its limited partners, would look to expand its capacity when the opportunity presents itself.
